Crafty catch up

I haven't been very good at keeping up to date at this blog thingy recently.... I'm sorry, I will do better!

Here is my niece modelling her new pillowcase top - apparently she loves it! and it does look cute.

I've been busy making for my eldest niece, she's 6 and dresses are a little more difficult to make for her ... but I found a great pattern and have finished it.

It is a brown courdroy overdress, with a blue and brown underdress. I have appliqued a flower on the front and all in all am realy happy with the way it has turned out. Can't wait to see it on her though, as things look so different on the hangers.

 I am also trying to get onto my big quilt project. I am making a king sized quilt, following Amy Butler's sunshine quilt pattern. To practice I made my small green quilt, but have spent the last week re-quilting it, as I wasn't happy with how it had turned out. It's also given me a chance to practice my machine quilting, ready for the big one!

I have about half of the material cut for my king size quilt and the wadding is ordered and on it's way, but don't know if it is going to all get finished by the Christmas deadline.

Anyway, this week's 'day off' is going to be taken up by school work, so don't know how much craft fun I'll be able to have, but you never know....
